I heard this from UJ (i.e. Uncle John), a veritable fount of misinformation so I need some further corroboration.

So what actually happened at the 4th of July cookout?
Also, remember when we were kids and someone, be it a bruised sister, jealous brother, or whining cousin would go to your parents and complain about something you did?
Well I thought "tattling" was over at a certain age. But I guess that age is higher than 33 years old.
From an email Dr. Mark sent to my wife,
"....I'm doing better but your husband's picking on me on the blog site...."

Well, Helena did do the cooking on the grill and it was wonderful. Tom was not kicked off, rather eased to one side. We had a nice time, good food and company. We do miss all of you young 'uns.
Both Vanda and Julie mentioned getting digital cameras. I think they want to flood cyber space with their beautiful grand children
I'm not sure if Tom was kicked off the grill or whether a few well thought out comments by Tom allowed him to enjoy a drink and the conversation without having to tend the grill
see, this is the beauty of the blog - a collaborative vehicle to get at the truth.
although, the more factually incomplete "tom was kicked off the grill...." had more entertainment potential.
i would love for vanda to post some pics of her grandchildren. everytime i ask maureen and tom for a pic, i am ignored. those poor boys are under-publicized. if i wasn't so busy "picking on mark", i would throw some smack at the merkles. little john loves to look at family pics on the computer and sadly the ones of colin and brendan are outdated.
Please don't pick on the Merkles - it will definitely not be as much fun as picking on Mark. More pics of the boyz to come....
