Can DrMark Be Any Less Heterosexual?

My mom is away on business so my dad called DrMark and asked if he wanted to get together tonight to watch the game (BC/Virgina Tech) and grab something to eat.

DrMark: I can't tonight.

MyDad: Why not?

DrMark: I am going to something very gay tonight.

MyDad: What?

DrMark: I can't tell you....you'll make fun of me.

MyDad: What is it?

DrMark: It is a pumpkin carving party...but there is beer too.

MyDad: Oh, that sounds swell....I wouldn't make fun of you for that.

I wonder if DrMark voted for the guy who uttered this about too much emphasis on technologies.....

“associated more with males than females…and ways to dominate nature receive more attention than ways to work with nature....part of the solution for the environmental crisis may well lie in our ability to achieve a better balance between the sexes, leavening the dominant male perspective with a healthier respect for female ways of experiencing the world.” (Al Gore)

Wedding Weekend

By the early exit polls, Julie and Mel's wedding has been voted an unqualified success.

(I didn't get a good pic of just Julie and Mel so maybe someone can send me or Anne one.)

Highlights of the wedding were the newlyweds vowing to accept children from God, Uncle John getting yelled at by the wench barmaid, Wayne quietly absconding with all of the centerpieces, everybody shushing Maureen's loud children, Uncle John showing Colin how to rub cake in his hair,

...DrMark bringing a likeable date, the excellent food, and Vanda signing a card, in typical "punctually challenged" Mullins fashion after the reception (5:12 pm - but who is counting?).

There are plenty more pics and excellent commentary of this weekend. click here and click here.

Congrats to MarkJr on his Baptism. By all accounts it seems like his dad is doing a great job. Vanda, can we do a flower collection for MarkSr? I shouldn't have to remind everyone that pregnancy, birth, and child rearing are much tougher on the father.

The moms get all of the sympathy and on top of that they get to deliver the kid, enjoy breast feeding, AND they get to buy all new clothes!!!!

Persistent paternal marginalization is a black eye on modern society.
