Sienna meets Madison

Over Labor Day weekend, the Starks made the trip to Michigan so that Sienna and her cousin Madison could meet for the first time. We attempted to do a few photo shoots with the girls, but as you know that can be quite difficult. Sienna was just about a month old in these photos, and Madison just 12 weeks.
We all had a great time, and the two girls will reunite again over the Thanksgiving holiday in Phoenix!
By the way, this is my first official post to the blog- the one of Maddie in her sunglasses was my trial run last night. I'll post more images as I have them to share - I am so excited that I am no longer a technophobic and have entered the world of blogging!

Labor Day BBQ

As always, click on any photo to enlarge it.

Grandpa chatted away with our Polish neighbor - in Polish of course. The gentleman actually grew up not too far from him.

I will put the videos up when I get a chance. DrMark was there too but is under-photographed because he hid inside for most of the cookout.

He also struck gold with this profoundly perceptive remark.

DrMark - Dan, how the heck did you 'marry up'?

I explained to him that is was very hard given my lofty credentials but both Inez and I appreciated his flattery.

On the other hand, I reminded him that a guy like him should have NO PROBLEM 'marrying up'!

We met Tim's new girlfriend Kelly (though they showed up 2.75 hours late).

We had a buffalo chicken dip that was so good DrTom asked for the recipe. I didn't know he could cook.

We had steamed clams that were eaten primarily by Grandpa and UJ.

Also, BBQ chicken, hot dogs, and a broccoli and bacon salad.

A good time was had by all. Thanks for making the lonh haul out here. We missed those of you who couldn't make it.
