Diversity Weekend - The Openminded F's

Last week, NanaL went to Michigan to see Madison. The F's, Dan and Cathy decided to take advantage of the *free* babysitting and make it a romantic weekend. They excitedly drove to Toronto.

Little did they know, that it was Gay Pride Day!

Christine Turns 2!

She had a joint party with age-mate Gabriella.

The "Bouncy House" was a ginormous hit. The kids spent four straight hours in it!





Counting the little ones, we had 58 attendees!

Colin's 4th Birthday!

Thought it was time to create my first blog posting. Just wanted to give an update on the "Merk" boys. Everyone is doing great. Colin just celebrated his 4th birthday! Here are a few pictures from his party. We had 15 kids ages 3-5 at our house! It was purely crazy, but thankfully we hired a clown to entertain the kids (Uncle Kevin and Aunt Jenn came down for the festivities, but neither of them wanted the job....what's up with that?!!) Anyway Colin had a blast and now we are inundated with Ben 10 toys - his new favorite show (for those of you with girls, you will never know anything about this show).

As for my other 2 little men, they are doing great. Brendan is starting to read a bunch now. He is playing tBall and has a ton of friends, probably more than I do! Devin is walking/running all over the place now, and learning new words every day. He has a great demeanor about him - always happy.

Devin and I are planning to be up in MA from May 1-3 so Devin can meet his new cousins and see the rest of the family. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see a bunch of you then.

Easter dinner was French ("buffet") this year. We had a barbequed brisket, turkey, lasagna, broccoli salad, garden salad, green beans, fruit salad, and a kugel.
